UnityFax is an affordable online fax service that is very competitively priced. UnityFax offers local numbers in 50 states and also offers (800), (866), (877), and (888) numbers. Faxes received using UnityFax are of average quality. UnityFax doesn't offer phone support, but their email support is very thorough. UnityFax doesn't offer a free trial.
Fax Number Options
UnityFax has local numbers available in 50 states. When choosing you local number, you can select by area code and state. They also offer (800), (866), (877), and (888) numbers. To port a number in and then out, you must pay a one-time $15 fee for local numbers and a one-time $50 fee for toll-free numbers. There is also an extra $1 a month to select both of those options.
Sending and Receiving Faxes
We found the faxes received using UnityFax to be average in quality. You can send up to 30 MB at one time to as many as 12 recipients. They do not allow you to preview your fax before sending it out or let you schedule the delivery of your faxes. They offer 30 days of storage for free, 6 months for $9.99, 12 months for $17.99, and 24 months for $29.99. You can create a blocked/allowed phone call list so that your account isn't charged for blocked calls. Their service is Mac-compatible. UnityFax allows you to send and receive faxes using four email addresses.
Pricing
UnityFax's Local Fax: Unlimited Receiving/250 Pages Sending plan costs $9.99 a month, and there is a $1.99 start-up fee. With the plan, you get unlimited free incoming pages and 250 outgoing pages. If you pay for six months in advance, you get one month for free, and if you pay for one year in advance, you get two months free. There is no free trial period.
Customer Support
UnityFax offers email support and FAQ with their customer service. They list a phone number on their webpage, but at the time of this review, phone support was not available. Their email support is above average, and they answered all of our questions thoroughly in less than 30 minutes. They also send you an email letting you know that they received your email ticket.
