Conclusion:

Sfax is an expensive online fax service, and they do not offer local numbers. However, Sfax claims to be one of the few secure fax solutions. They do offer 866, 877, and 888 numbers for free. Faxes received using Sfax are of high quality. They also have very helpful customer support and offer a 14-day free trial period.

Sending and Receiving Faxes

You can expect high fax quality with Sfax. You can fax up to 999 pages at once to up to 25 recipients.  However, they do not allow you to preview a fax before sending, and you cannot schedule the delivery of your faxes. They offer one year of online fax storage, which is much longer than the 30 days many online fax services offer. The vendor is Mac-compatible. You cannot send faxes by email, but you can receive notifications for received faxes at an unlimited number of email addresses.

Pricing

Sfax’s “Basic” plan costs $15 per month and includes 175 combined free incoming and outgoing pages. This comes out to a fee of 9 cents per page which is way more expensive than other typical services at 3 cents per page. The incoming and outgoing overages are 10 cents per page, which are comparable to the overage rates charged by other services. Sfax offers a free trial period of 14 days.

Customer Support

Sfax offers many types of customer support, including phone and email support, help guides, video tutorials, and FAQs. Phone customer support is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST. During testing, we left a message and their customer support called back within half an hour. We found their customer support to be very helpful and they responded thoroughly to all of our questions.
