FaxSer is a decent choice for an online fax service but lacks fax number options. FaxSer only offers local numbers in three states, and (800), (866), (877), and (888) numbers cost an additional $3 per month. Faxes sent through FaxSer are of good quality. FaxSer has very knowledgeable customer service, and they offer a 30-day free trial.

Fax Number Options

FaxSer offers local numbers in three states. When selecting your local number, you can select by area code. They also offer (800), (866), (877), and (888) toll-free numbers, which are all available for an additional $3 per month. FaxSer offers the ability to port numbers in NY, NJ, and CT for a one time charge of $15.

Sending and Receiving Faxes

During testing, we found the faxes sent through FaxSer to be good quality. FaxSer allows you to attach up to four documents to an individual fax. FaxSer also allows you to send a fax to as many recipients as you wish with their broadcast group option. FaxSer does not allow you to preview a fax or schedule a fax for delivery at a later date. You can store your faxes online for up to one year, which far exceeds most online fax services' fax storage of 30 days. FaxSer is Mac-compatible. They also allow you to send and receive faxes using up to five email addresses.

Pricing

FaxSer charges $9.95 per month for 125 incoming and 125 outgoing pages. This equates to four cents per page, which is pretty in line with the other services we've reviewed. But it's important to note that the plan does not combine the pages, which might mean you'll use more overage pages. Overage rates for pages sent or received over your monthly allotment are nine cents per page, which is slightly cheaper than the 10 cents per page rate many other services we've reviewed charge. FaxSer offers a 30-day free trial period to test their service.

Customer Support

FaxSer offers both phone and email customer support. Phone support is available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. During testing, we found wait times to be negligble and noticed that their customer service was very knowledgeable.
