FaxPipe Review

Pros:

  • Excellent customer support

Cons:

  • $10 start-up fee
  • Offers local fax numbers in only 12 states
  • No online interface
  • Online fax storage for only 10 days

Conclusion:

FaxPipe is comparable to other online fax services for number of included pages, but their pricing and start-up fee make it more expensive than the other services we've reviewed. FaxPipe offers local numbers in 12 states and (800) and (888) numbers at no additional cost. FaxPipe has very knowledgeable customer support and offers a 30-day free trial that includes 30 minutes of fax connection time.

Fax Number Options

FaxPipe has local numbers available in 12 states as well as Washington D.C. When choosing a local number, you can choose by both area code and city. They also offer (800) and (888) numbers at no additional cost, and it is free to port a number in or out.

Sending and Receiving Faxes

The number of documents you can send and recipients you can fax to depend on your email client. FaxPipe does not let you preview your fax before you send it out or let you schedule the delivery of your faxes. They offer 10 days of online fax storage, which is much shorter than the 30 days that many other online fax services offer. You can create a blocked/allowed phone call list so that your account isn't charged for blocked calls. Their service is also Mac-compatible. You can send faxes from an unlimited number of email addresses and receive faxes on five email addresses with their service.

Pricing

The monthly cost for their 300 Pages/Month plan is $12.95, and there is also a $10 start-up fee. There are 300 combined free incoming and outgoing pages included in the plan, which comes out to four cents a page. This is a little more expensive compared to the other services we've reviewed. The incoming and outgoing overage pages are ten cents per page, which are typical prices for overage rates. They offer a free trial period of 30 days or 30 minutes of fax connection time, which is usually around 30 pages worth of faxing.

Customer Support

FaxPipe offers FAQs, video tutorials, and phone and email support. Thier phone support hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. MST.  We experienced no wait times and found their customer support to be very knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions or problems you may have.
